Turbo Overkill looks like the hyper violent FPS of my dreams

Hey, Turbo Overkill? You'Re looking at salutary. Really skillful. The upcoming indie FPS from Trigger Happy Interactive just got its first gameplay trailer and I'm already sold. The clip is an persisting quint minutes of absurd ferocity that moves so fast it's hard for my brain to keep ascending with IT.

IT's got plasma rifles, floaty jumps, wallrunning, a projectile launcher arm, chainsaw pegleg(??), and best of all, a triad-charge shotgun straight impermissible of System Shock. It's not just the absurd weapons that have me jazzed along Turbo Overkill: the telecasting also shows a caboodle of little touches that I love in a good enough FPS, ilk expressive hand movements, impactful weapon sounds, and what look to be lawless levels.

The trailer gives Pine Tree State star Doom Eonian vibes. I tin can already see a similar level of gun variety with secondary tools like the chain saw leg and missiles, only I'm curious to realise if Turbo Overkill will similarly strength players to deepen up their playstyle with ammo limitations. Represent it free-flow power trip Beaver State real-time murder chess, I'm up for either.

This is the two-person indie studio apartment's first game under Trigger Happy, just lead developer Sam Prebble is no unknown to the genre. They were the sole developer behind Total Chaos, the excellent End of the world 2 total conversion stylish that we played back in 2019. Composer Gribblesnap is handling the rippin' music atomic number 3 considerably as sound aim and concept artwork.

Turbo OverkillTurbo Overkill has no release date yet, but you tush wishlist it on Steam clean right now. You can also follow the developer on Twitter for future development updates operating theatre bring together the official Discord.

Morgan Park

Lewis Henry Morgan has been writing for PC Gamer since 2018, first atomic number 3 a freelancer and currently as a staff author. He has also appeared on Polygon, Kotaku, Fanbyte, and PCGamesN. Earlier freelancing, atomic number 2 spent most of high school and all of college writing at small gaming sites that didn't pay him. He's very glad to have a real job at once. Morgan is a tired writer following the latest and greatest shooters and the communities that play them. He also writes general news, reviews, features, the occasional guide, and bad jokes in Slack. Twist his arm, and helium'll even write out about a tedious scheme game. Delight don't, though.
